Tapped Banana, I Finally Get It

You know the one: duct-taped to a wall, titled Comedian, sold for $6.2 million. At first, I didn’t get it either. But as I create more and more with AI, the message behind it has ripened into something deeper.

That banana — a product of nature — taped by man to a wall. No carving, no strokes of genius. Just found. Positioned. Framed. The whole point being: no effort, yet still art.

That’s exactly what AI art feels like.

The banana is still the product of biology. Like ideas — they come from somewhere organic. But with AI, we don’t sculpt them by hand. We tape them in place with a prompt. The seed of creativity still starts with us, but the system grows it. Fast. Clean. Consumable.

The peel is in our mind. The fruit? Prompted. The wall? Digital. But still — art.

So yeah... I finally get the banana.

Let’s chat again soon…
