If you’ve used ChatGPT before, you’ve probably gotten a feel for its interface—whether you’re chatting on the app or diving in via desktop. What’s powerful about this tool is just how many ways there are to engage with it. From content creation to idea generation, it's a Swiss army knife for digital work.

That’s why I created a step-by-step Prompting How-To Guide for ChatGPT—a tool you’ll want in your back pocket, especially if you’re still getting the hang of things or want to start leveling up.

Now, let’s talk upgrades. If you’re using the ChatGPT Plus plan, you’ve got access to extensions (also called tools), and these can take your productivity to the next level. Here are three of my favorite ChatGPT extensions for business owners:

Now, let’s dive into some of my favorite tools available with ChatGPT Plus. If you’re on the paid plan, these extensions (sometimes called “tools”) can take your productivity to the next level. Here are three I think every business owner should know about:

1. Deep Search

  • What it does: Deep Search helps you get smarter, more specific answers by looking deeply into documents, data, or context—not just surface-level summaries.

  • Why it’s useful: Upload a long PDF, a report, or your own document, and this tool will find the most relevant pieces of information for you, quickly and with citations. It’s like having a research assistant on call.

2. DALL·E Image Generator

  • What it does: This tool turns text into visuals—just describe what you want, and DALL·E creates an image for you right inside ChatGPT. You can even edit parts of the image by clicking on them.

  • Why it’s useful: Great for marketing visuals, social media content, brand storytelling, or even product mockups. You don’t need any design background—just describe your vision, and let it come to life.

3. AI Humanizer (Writing Assistant)

  • What it does: This extension improves the tone, rhythm, and personality of your writing so that your message doesn’t feel robotic or flat.

  • Why it’s useful: If you’re writing emails, sales pages, Instagram captions, or anything customer-facing, this tool helps polish your words to sound more like you, not like a machine.

How to Access These Tools in ChatGPT (Even If You’re Not Techy)

Step 1: Make sure you're on ChatGPT Plus
To use these tools, you’ll need the ChatGPT Plus plan (it’s $20/month). Once you’re upgraded, you’re automatically using GPT-4, which has access to these tools.

Step 2: Select “GPT-4” at the top of your screen
When you open a new chat, you’ll see a dropdown at the top of the screen. Click it and select GPT-4 (not GPT-3.5).

Step 3: Make sure “Browse with tools” is turned on
Once you're in GPT-4, click the settings gear icon (bottom left on desktop or top right on mobile), then go to Settings > Beta Features and make sure “Tools” or “Advanced Tools” is toggled ON.

Step 4: Start a new chat and hover over the tool icons
You’ll now see icons like:

  • magnifying glass (for Deep Search)

  • picture frame (for DALL·E)

  • document upload icon (for working with files)

  • Some tools like AI Humanizer are built into writing suggestions when you ask for tone help—just describe the style you want.

If you’re not seeing them right away, make sure your app is updated or refresh your browser if you’re on desktop.

Final Note
I’m so thankful for your continued support, and I really hope the Prompting How-To Guide helps you explore what’s possible with ChatGPT. Whether you’re refining your content, researching smarter, or leveling up your visuals—these tools were built to work for you.

You’ve got this.
